Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix is the Los Angeles native born on November 18th, 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordinand at Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix was aware that she had a talent for running when attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. At her first attempt and placing within the top two places in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200 meters in a mere 10 weeks. Felix graduated from high school in 2003 and signed with Adidas to become professional athlete. Following that, she enrolled at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic gold at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record running 200 meters for 22.18. The 2005 Helsinki World Championships saw her becoming the youngest female to be crowned the winner of the 200-meter race. She defended the title by beating her Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed within the top three athletes in each of her events.
