Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born on 18 November the 18th of November, 1985, at Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father, was an ordained pastor in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet elementary school. Felix was a natural at athletics before she realized her speedy abilities while she was a student at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. In only 10 weeks following her first attempt, Felix was second in the 200 meter sprint during the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix completed her high school graduation having signed a professional contract with the company that makes sports Adidas after which she enrolled in the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. The first Olympic medal was at the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest world athlete to win the 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at the Olympics in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo constantly placing within the top three in all her races.
